Hartbeespoort Dam lies on the edge of the Cradle of Humankind in a valley between the beautiful Magaliesburg and Witwatersberg mountain ranges.

The area has always been very popular for weekend breakaways and house hunters looking for a quality life experience. The former has a wide variety of outdoors’ activities to sample, while for the latter there is a broad selection of property available from veritable mansions on the water margins, to bijou lock up and go style, low maintenance apartments.

Houses both for sale and to rent in the Hartbeespoort Dam area are particularly sought after as the region is little more than a half hour drive from Africa’s largest conurbation in the form of Johannesburg and Tshwane, which makes commuting to work to most places in these areas a very viable proposition. The relative ease of access also offers the weekenders the chance to break away, get out of town and have more leisure time as they won’t spend the whole weekend on the road driving to and from their destination.

Hartbeespoort Dam has a property for sale or to rent to suit almost every taste, life-style and budget. Fifteen estates and numerous secure communities and gated complexes are on offer from the old-world type, village like charm of the original suburbs such as Kosmos to the newer golf, life-style and eco-estates and a range of smallholdings and farm land for those looking for larger properties. The vacationer is also well catered for by a broad selection of time-share estates, wedding and conference venues, high quality guesthouses and holiday resorts.

A significant percentage of the properties for sale and rent in Hartbeespoort are situated adjacent to, or along the shores of the dam making for some spectacular views and with access to all the fun that is to be had on the water.

It is a location that really does offer something for everyone and with the increasing number of commuters choosing to live in the area, is consistently popular with property investors.

The whole area is an outdoors’ paradise, so whether you want to play golf on any one of the region’s challenging golf courses, or jump onto your mountain bike and experience one of the many off road trails, a Hartbeespoort Dam property will offer you the chance to live in holiday mode throughout the entire year.
